RM of Springfield Strike Update – Day 60

Support is still strong despite the strike being 60 days long! The RM of Springfield members have stood in solidarity with daily dedication for a fair contract!

Members will be returning to work tomorrow, Saturday July 23, 2022 under the terms of their existing Collective Agreement.

The Manitoba Labour Board (MLB) appointed conciliation was unsuccessful in achieving a fair deal. OE987 will be applying to the MLB for an independent, unbiased 3rd party to settle the labour dispute.

OE987 is extremely proud and grateful to have such a solid group of members who are supportive of one another despite the hardships that a strike imposes.

Their fight and resilience are admired and will have a positive impact on other Municipalities in Manitoba.
