Union MeetingsAll members are welcome to attend any of the District meetings, even if you do not work or live in that area. All members are encouraged to go to the general membership meetings. Winnipeg District Meetings are held quarterly on the first Thursday of March, June, September and December. Meetings start at 7 p.m. and are held in Winnipeg, MB. Call the office to find out the location. Brandon District Meetings are held quarterly on the second Thursday of March, June, September and December. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. and are held in Brandon, MB. Call the office to find out the location. General Membership Meetings are held twice a year on the third Sunday of September and April. Meetings start at 1 p.m. and are held in Winnipeg, MB. Call the office to find out the location. |

Member ResponsibilitiesAs a member, it is your responsibility to pay your union dues on time, even when you are out of work or on leave. If you are on our out-of-work list, you must check in with our office every month to remain on the list. Advise the administrative staff of any changes to your address, contact information and/or employment situation (e.g., if laid off). Call 204-786-8658 or 1-800-292-9940. All members working in another provincial jurisdiction are required to maintain their out-of-work dues with Local 987. All working dues deducted by Operating Engineers Locals in other provinces are not reciprocated back to the home local (987) but remain with the Local whose jurisdiction members work under. |
