Passing of our Long Time Member and Brother, Frank Gramiak.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our long time member and brother, Frank Gramiak.

Frank was a proud Operating Engineer since 1964 and at the time of his passing he was the longest standing member of OE987.

During his 57 years of membership Frank’s commitment to the trade cannot be overstated. He advanced in his career as a worker, a supervisor, a manager and a teacher. In his retirement Frank devoted 15 years to the Operating Engineers Training Institute of Manitoba as an instructor. As a teacher he was patient, caring and kind, committed to developing student skills, and abilities. The knowledge he shared will forever be a part of the foundation of crane safety as it continues to get passed on.

He was a friend to all and will truly be missed.
