OE987 Member Les Ferris featured in Winnipeg Free Press – Nov 22, 2021

OE987 member Leslie Ferris is featured in today’s Winnipeg Free Press. Les has been a long standing member with the Operating Engineers having joined in 1975. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018 and in the article he speaks about advocating for his health after he encountered several doctors who didn’t see the urgency of having a prostate biopsy conducted earlier. He hopes his story will help raise awareness about the disease and hope other men will have a different outcome than his with much earlier detection.
