2021 Bursary Winners

Congratulations to our bursary winners for 2021! There are 4 recipients for the OE987 Gord Collins Memorial Bursary and 1 recipient of the 987A / 987D Bursary. Each year we receive numerous applications from intelligent, talented and hard-working students.

The OE987 Gord Collins Memorial Bursary is awarded to the children of our members who work in 987, 987B & 987C locals. The 987A/987D Bursary award is awarded to the children of our members who work in 987A & 987D locals.

The following recipients were chosen by the OE987 Bursary Selection Committee:

– Keira Middleton 
– Kaelyn Middleton 
– Adesh Bhullar 
– Alessandro Calado 

Rhéanne Morin has recently graduated from Red River College completing her Business Administration Program. She is currently attending the University of Manitoba to complete her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the Asper School of Business. Rhéanne’s future plans include obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce Degree and then apply to law school and eventually become a lawyer.

Keira Middleton is currently in her 2nd year at the University of Winnipeg studying in the Facility of Arts, majoring in Criminal Justice and with a minor in Psychology. Keira’s future goals are to apply to the facility of Social Work at the University of Manitoba.

Kaelyn Middleton is currently going into her 5th and final year of her undergraduate degree at the University of Winnipeg, studying for a combined major in Biology and Geography. January 2022 she will be applying to the Physicians’s Assistant Masters Program at the University of Manitoba.

Adesh Bhullar is currently enrolled at the University of Manitoba studying Kinesiology where is halfway through his undergraduate degree. Adesh’s future goal is to become a Physiotherapist.

Alessandro Calado is currently attending York University in Toronto where he’s studying to complete his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. He also plays on the university’s soccer team the York Lions Men’s Soccer Team. Alessandro’s future plans are To become a professional soccer player.

We wish the recipients all the best in their studies. We know they will accomplish many great things in the future!
